Jason Robertson, Owner - is the owner of Star Builders and is also in charge of all sales and marketing. Jason has been married for 15 years to the most wonderful wife any man could ask for and has been blessed with two children. His son is 13 and his daughter is 10 and they are, of course, the delights of his life. Jason is a family man and in his free time enjoys taking the family snowmobiling, waterskiing, camping, and even just relaxing together. Jason also enjoys sitting quietly and bird watching. One of his favorite vacations was a trip to the Amazon with his son. Also joining the humans in his household are two labrador retrievers, one yellow and one black, and a white maltese. He is active in his church and volunteers with many industry associations as well. He has lived in Salem for 37 years. His great-grandfather, grandfather, and father were all builders so this line of work comes quite naturally to him. One of the credos he lives by is simply "do the right thing". Not surprisingly, his favorite TV shows are Extreme Makeover Home Edition and This Old House.
Dianna is a marketing writer for Star Builders and helps in the office. She and her husband have been delightfully married for 21 years and have a son, 13 and a daughter 10. Family fun is the best thing to fill her day. Yoga keeps her sane. She volunteers for Liberty House, Candalaria Elementary School and is active in the Chamber of Commerce. She and her family have lived in Salem for 12 years. She has been a writer in some capacity all her life and is most happy helping others succeed.
Craig is the Star Builders designer and site manager.Craig and his wife have been happily married and lived in Salem for 25 years. They have a son in college and a daughter in high school. Craig is passionate about community service. He is very involved in the high school youth ministry at church and is active in mission trips and camps. The most memorable trip for him was a mission trip to Uganda and Sudan in South Africa. "It was so special and I can't wait to go back." Craig got into architecture 15 years ago when he was a project manager and wore a drafting hat. He has always loved drawing - loved the creative aspect of the work - it's just fun, he says. The technology is amazing and is becoming more sophisticated every day. Soon, he says, it will probably become intelligent design, Building Information Modeling, where there are simultaneous changes between cross sections. It's very exciting.
Glen - is a Star Builders lead carpenter and works with floors and counter tops as well. Glen has been married for 42 years and has two sons, 41 and 33. He and his family have lived in Salem for 35 years. Glen got into woodworking after high school while working in a cabinet shop. Woodworking is his passion and his joy and he spends free time on home projects and art such as bird houses. He and his wife share a love of local and American history.
Sergio - has been working in construction for 9 years and specifically works with drywall, paint, and demolition for Star Builders. He has an 11 year old daughter and he spends his free time with her and playing soccer and on the weekends plays goalie for the games. His favorite vacation was to New York City ~ loved the city ~ and loved the warm water of the East coast.
Carlos (not pictured) - is a Star Builders painter who has lived in Salem for 6 years. He has been married for 3 years and he and his bride have been blessed with a boy, 2 and a baby girl. He and his wife love trying new restaurants in the area - Japanese and Chinese foods are their favorites. They love finding new parks to take their kids to play as well. Carlos has been working in construction and painting for 6 years and loves working with Jason and the team. In his free time, Carlos loves to spend time up on Mt. Hood, but also has plans to vacation on a nice, warm beach and let the family enjoy a warm seaside for a change.
Alex - is a Star Builders tile and stone setter and got into this line of work because his father does this work as well. He is passionate about his craft because, "after all the hard work, the finished work, you can enjoy what you did, and the customer's satisfaction with the finished product, too." Alex studies martial arts, plays soccer and the guitar. Alex's favorite vacations have been to Florida and Moscow and has plans to travel to Australia.
Slavic - is a Star Builders tile -stone setter and specializes with glass blocks.He has been married for 8 years and has six children ranging in age from 7yrs. to 6 months, 4 boys and 2 girls. He spends what free time he has volunteering for church activities and did mission work in the Ukraine. He holds Psalms 22 dear to his heart. Slavic is also likely to be found under the hood of a car fixing it up. Slavic has been in construction for 12 years and loves working with Star Builders and the team. Slavic dreams of taking his family to the Ukraine for vacation.
David - is a Star Builders custom cabinet maker and has lived in Salem for 10 years. He and his wife have been married for 3 years and have a daughter. He has been working in construction and making cabinets for 18 years. In his free time he enjoys snowboarding and skateboarding, and playing the guitar. The best vacation he ever took was going to the Olympics but Hawaii was pretty great, too.
Fernando -is a Star Builders framer and has lived in Salem for 12 years. He has family both in nearby cities and in Mexico. Fernando got into construction 10 years ago and loves it because there is always something new to learn. He loves walking in the park for exercise and relaxation, plays the harmonica, and has 3 parrots. A couple of his favorite vacations were to Disney World and Universal Studios and he dreams of going to Viet Nam.
